The Graduate School of Journalism and Mass Communication aims to provide a general direction for
Korea¡¯s journalism and mass communication. Its academic purpose is to reeducate and retrain
professionals in the field. Through the six educational fields of Journalism, Information
Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Broadcasting and Visual Communication, the
Graduate School attempts to inculcate professionalism in professionals already working in the field.
The school also offers elective courses in such areas as humanities, social science, and natural
science to emphasize links with science.
In joint cooperation with institutions related to the field of mass communication, the Graduate School
has introduced special lectures, emphasizing problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze the
fundamentals of Korea¡¯s journalism and mass communication. The teaching program will not only
involve lectures but also courses that emphasize new problem-solving approaches and methods.
