After an establishment of the Graduate School being approved by the Ministry of Education on November 2, 1999, the School was officially opened on March 3, 2003 with 45 enrolled students in the Master’s degree program. The school consist of three departments which represent the core disciplines in the area of public health; namely Environmental Health Science, Epidemiology and Health Informatics, and Health Policy and Management.

Students are eligible to apply for admission in the graduate school of public health if one of following conditions has met.
1. Students who have received or expected to receive a Bachelor’s degree in a four-year college program.
2. Graduates from an undergraduate institution, recognized in the Education Act of the Ministry of Education in Korea.
3. Students who have completed more than 16 years of education in abroad.
4. Students who have graduated from undergraduate institutions or have completed an educational program, recognized as being on a par with item #1 by the Ministry of Education in Korea.
