As the frontier of the Information Security, the GSIMS of Korea University which is professional by nature rather than purely academic for the purpose of the role-model of multi-disciplinary program, was established in July of 2000. Combining expertises in public key cryptography, secret key cryptography, cryptographic protocols, their application and information security policy, the GSIMS is home to one of the world's leading multi-disciplinary programs in so-called state-of-the-art technology such as quantum cryptography, secure hardware, network/system security, wireless mobile security, steganography, CMVP(Cryptographic Module Validation Program), biometrics, etc.
