KU-Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology MOU
Korea University(President: Ki-Su LEE) has sigend an MOU with Korea Reserch Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology(President: Young-Hoon PARK - hereinafter abbreviated as KRIBB) on April 17th(Friday), pledging mutual cooperation regarding progress in education and research in the field of bioengineering, which is one of the national New Growth Platforms. Through this MOU, both institutes will be able to vigorously carry out cooperative researches on medicine, pharmacology, agriculture, biology and convergence technologies, as well as mutual exchanges of personnel such as professors and researchers, and university-research institute cooperations.
Korea University has been concentrating on fostering the field of BT(biotechnology) by promoting large-scale state-policy projects such as the BK Project and the Seoul Metropolitan Area University Specialization Support Project and the like, since being chosen for the Graduate School Focused Fostering Project in the field of BT in 1995.
KRIBB is the only government-sponsored research institute which focuses on the research, development and support in the field of bioscience as its main purpose.
