| An accredited member of the International
Academic Exchange Committee (IAEC), Korea University has
been preparing a variety of international programs for
the interest of international undergraduate and graduate
students. Korea University has established extensive links
with many universities internationally through its student
exchange program, which was developed as part of its internationalization
process. This program now takes Korea University students
to Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Japan, New Zealand,
Russia, USA, UK and various European countries to study
for one or two semesters at 23 exchange universities,
5 partner institutions, 4 educational organizations and
2 research institutes. Korea University also has very
extensive academic links with over 200 ISEP member
institutions around the world and exchanges undergraduate/graduate
students annually with various ISEP member universities
on the basis of reciprocal benefits. In 1987 Korea
University became a member of the International Student
Exchange Program based in Washington D.C., Over the
past decade, many Korea University students have enjoyed
studying abroad on ISEP exchange and have benefitted
a great deal from the rich variety of high quality
educational environments abroad as well as the intercultural
experiences with students from various international
backgrounds. Likewise, the in-coming international
students have had the unique chance of enriching their
scope of knowledge and understanding involving a foreign
education and the various aspects of society, culture
and tradition at Korea University.
Based on the past rewarding experiences and joys interacting
with international students, KUSEP is now putting
more effort into further developing its benefits and
program offerings, especially the International Education
Curriculum and intercultural activities with local
students. All interested International students are
cordially encouraged to visit the Korea University
campus to learn about Korea and Korea University¡¯s
unique tradition of educational philosophy and ever
enriching learning environment. While studying abroad
as an exchange student at Korea University, students
will be making a great contribution to international
education as a valued friend of the University.
For those students who are interested in studying on
exchange in Korea, Korea University has been offering
its unique study abroad opportunities through its
student exchanges with ISEP (International Student
Exchange Program) member institutions and all other
exchange universities around the world. Every Spring
and Fall semester students from exchange universities
can apply for the Korea University student exchange
program to study for a semester or a year as a non-degree,
short term visiting student. Under the KUSEP, exchange
students have not only the opportunity of learning
the Korean language, but also can study regular academic
subjects taught in English or in Korean. Upon completion
of the exchange study, the credits and grades earned
on exchange at Korea University can usually be transferred
to the home university, depending upon each respective
University's regulations regarding study abroad programs.
