| Applying
for an ISEP Program
Each ISEP member has its own application
procedure and calendar and selects its
own nominees for ISEP. You do not apply
directly to ISEP, but submit your application
to the ISEP coordinator at your institution,
who will forward the application to ISEP.
ISEP accepts applications from sophomores,
juniors, seniors and graduate students,
who:
- are enrolled and in good academic standing
at an ISEP member institution and have
completed at least one academic year of
study, recognized by the member institution,
prior to the program
- have a strong academic background (for
U.S. students, a minimum grade point average
of 2.75 is usually required)
Your institution may have additional criteria
for study abroad or participation in ISEP.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Is your institution a member of ISEP?
Only students at ISEP member institutions
are eligible for ISEP exchanges. If you
do not know if your institution is a member,
please check the membership list.
Students attending non-member institutions
are welcome to apply for all ISEP-Direct
programs (except for Universidad Nacional
Autonoma de Heredia, Costa Rica). See
your study abroad coordinator to find
out if your institution is an ISEP Affiliate
or ask your study abroad advisor to contact
ISEP regarding participation.
2. Make an appointment with the ISEP coordinator
on your campus, or with your Office of
Study Abroad. Your ISEP coordinator is
your primary contact with ISEP and will
advise you on the application process.
Students do not directly submit their
applications to ISEP; the ISEP coordinator
on your campus will forward completed
applications to ISEP.
3. Your ISEP coordinator will provide you
with an application, or you can fill in
you personal information on the downloadable
application forms, print them out, and
take them to your ISEP coordinator.
