We have been creating a miniaturized global village at KU so that our students can meet the world without having to
board an airplane. As one of its contributions to globalization, KU operates the country's largest and best international
summer campus. Every year, top scholars give lectures to KU students and students from all over the world come
to visit us. While this is happening, our own students are traveling around the world in search of new challenges,
experiences, and opportunities. We embraced the world while everyone else was just dreaming about it. At KU, you
can meet the world!

| You can leave domestic
matters to lesser institutions.
KU wants to meet the world. |
|
| |
|
The first step towards becoming a truly respected global university is to network with other universities
around the world. To this end, KU has entered into agreements with 480 universities, three institutions, and
five research institutes in 62 countries.

Global KU Campuses: Circling the World
The best way to be recognized as a true international leader is to know, experience, and understand the world. KU spares no efforts in supporting the appearance of future leaders on the world stage. We do this by sending large numbers of students to overseas universities and entering into agreements with prestigious schools throughout the world regarding our “Visiting Student Program.?To this end, we began the construction of global KU campuses and dormitories in overseas universities, a first among domestic universities. They are meant to to provide an optimal educational environment for KU students studying abroad and assist them in adapting to local conditions. They can be found at the University of British Columbia (Canada), Royal Holloway University of London (UK), Griffith University (Australia), and the University of California, Davis and the University of Pennsylvania (USA). |

| Korean Language and Culture Center |
On March 1, 1986, the Korean Language and Culture
Center (KLCC) was established with the goal of
teaching and promoting Korean language and culture
throughout the world. The total number of
international students who came to study and learn
Korean language, history, and culture since 1986 has
reached 28,000 in 2007 and approximately 4,000
students are participating in this program annually.
KLCC offers a systematic and integrated curriculum,
excellent textbooks and teaching materials, and
perhaps most importantly, a distinguished faculty and
supportive staff who are always willing to help you
both in and out of the classroom. In fact, the
enrollment data demonstrate that KLCC's reputation
is spreading via word-of-mouth as a growing number
of applicants mention that former students had
recommended KLCC.
With an eye on further improving the quality of the
program, KLCC upgraded all of its multimedia
facilities in 2000, and our faculty is constantly
developing more effective teaching materials as well
as teaching methods. KLCC aims to provide a warm
and supportive environment in which all participants
can enjoy learning Korean language and culture.

that KLCC offers, please visit the website at
