| The SEP and VSP are open to current and prospective college students who are interested in
studying in Korea and learn about Korea through academic and cultural immersion.
It is important that you make sure to consider your home institution's requirements for you to
fulfill and choose the most suitable program for yourself. |
|
|
> Student Exchange Program (SEP)
Only currently enrolled students of partner
institutions that KU has an exchange agreement with,
and of ISEP member institutions are eligible to apply
to the SEP.
All applicants are required to secure the approval of
their home university and then forward the
completed application to the Office of International
Affairs at KU.
While students nominated by the home university will
normally be accepted by KU for exchange, KU retains
the right to review the students nominated for the
program and to make a final decision concerning
admission.
> Visiting Student Program (VSP)
Students from non-exchange universities should first
consider consulting with a study abroad coordinator
at their home university. Only after securing approval
from their home university, should applicants apply to
the VSP program.

| What happens when I apply? |
|
When all application materials are received, the
Office of International Affairs conducts an evaluation.
Occasionally you may be asked for further clarification
to support your application.
The application process takes between four to eight
weeks. Once a decision is made you will be sent a
letter outlining the decision regarding your admission.
Applicants who are accepted will receive an admissions
packet which includes information about registration,
pre-departure information,accommodations,
obtaining student visa, and a student handbook.
All accepted exchange and visiting students must
notify the Office of International Affairs at KU of their
arrival schedules and other pertinent travel
arrangements. It is a strict policy that students arrive
at the university no later than the official course
registration date, as we do not permit any late course
enrollment requests. Also, it is very important that all
international students take part in the international
student orientation program before the term
commences. |
