LIFE AT KU
Education at Korea University is not achieved inside classrooms and research centers alone. Numerous club activities and close relationships among students complete KU¡¯s responsibility to the community and to creating an open world. The culture of KU is the future of Korean culture, one in which young intellectuals lead each other towards prosperity.
A sporting event that has inspired the nation is held every year between Korea University and Yonsei University, longstanding rivals and the nation¡¯s two leading university. Each fall the Ko-Yon Games build friendship between the universities and serve to develop Korean university culture and competitive excellence one step further. A total of five games are played: football (soccer), baseball, basketball, ice hockey, and rugby. Restoring the tradition of anti-Japanese determination during the colonial rule, the Ko-Yon Games is sublimed as a national ceremony. Recently, in addition to these main sporting events, internet games, board games, and interchange in culture and arts have been included as a way of promotion a positive university culture and passion for achievement.
